Born 1962 in Hamburg, Germany. After the first initial photographic works and high school graduation, assistant of fashion photographer Charlotte March.

1984-1986 formal training to become a photographer at Bindseil Studio for advertising photography. 1986 recipient of the prize of the Central Association of Professional German Photographers. 1986-1988 international fashion photography at PPS.Studios, assistant of F.C. Gundlach und Dirk M. Kugelmeier 1989 start of freelance work as a photographer, continued artistic projects, photographic series such as »Hamburg Faces« and »Secrets«. 2008 stay in New York, development of the concept »Out of Focus«. 2009 finalist and honorable mention of the International Photography Awards. 2011 first museum exhibits at the Hamburger Kunsthalle as a part of the exhibition »Out of focus. After Gerhard Richter«. My first book »Out of Focus« published by Kehrer Verlag/Art Books Heidelberg, launched in October 2011 at the Frankfurt Book Fair.
